MASO - RED CARS | 2007
Cars depicted as beef hanging on a nail should illustrate the object of godly respect. They may be different objects for various societies, somewhere beef and elsewhere cars. It is Černý’s protest against “auto-civilization“.
The red cars are suspended on the building of the MeetFactory Cultural Centre, where music merges with the gallery and theatre.
Did you know that...
David Černý got the Jindřich Chalupecký Award for the Red cars Sculpture. However. He received the award on the pavement in front of Veletržní Palace. The reason for this were disagreements with then National Gallery Director Milan Knížák.
