Half horse and half engine. These sculptures are not really installed incidentally in the Waltrovka Residence. This is the location where the Walter Pegasus engines were manufactured in the past. In the case of the sculptures that substitute the engines, which are completely mechanical, the front part of the horse torso and head.
Did you know that...
Pegasus first appeared already at the Malost Exhibition in 1991 as one of the 343 pieces with a height of 6 cm. It was only later that David Černý decided to make a larger copy of the sculpture and incidentally joined forces with architect Jakub Ciegler, who designed the Waltrovka complex.
